How to Fix "There is insufficient space on the device" error on Android device when trying to download/update app on Play Store

When you are trying to download or update an app on Play Store and you get "There is insufficient space on the device" error message which can be solved by different ways. There are some reasons why you can see this error message. Maybe you have downloaded this app a long time ago and when you trying to install it again and see this message it means time to delete the odex file of this app. Or You see that you have enough space but it's still won't allow you to install the app. And maybe it's time to clear the phone cache files.

1st Method

If you have downloaded that app early and now you can't install that, then you need to do next.
Download Total commander from Play Store. Or if it won't allow you to download any app from Play Store and showing same error message then try to download an apk file of the app and install it through that apk file. The method is here how to download apk file from Play Store. Now with total commander navigate to root/data/dalvik-cache directory and delete all files. And then go to root/system/app directory and search for the app name you are trying to download. If you found app name with odex format then delete it.
Now restart your phone and install the app from Play Store.

2nd Method

In this method, we will try to clean the cache of phone. Download App cache cleaner from Play Store. Or if it won't allow you to download any app from Play Store and showing same error message then try to download an apk file of the app and install it through that apk file. The method is here how to download apk file from Play Store
Open up the cache cleaner and press on green "Clear" button.
When it's done, try to install the apps from Play Store.

3rd Method

Open the phone settings. Go to apps to see how much free space does your phone have. If it's about 300 MB or less then it means you need to move some apps to internal storage.
So select the app with higher MB from the list and you can see a feature here "Move to internal Storage". Tap on that button and wait when it's finished.
And now try to install the apps from Play Store again, you will get succeed.

if these 3 methods not worked for you, it means that its time to reset your phone. If you get the same problem after reset then it's time to change your phone.
