If you want to take a snap of your entire screen just use "Ctrl+Window Switcher" keyboard combination.
But if you want to capture a specific area of the screen then use "Ctrl+Shift+Window Switcher" keyboard combination.
If you are on the Dev Channel of Chrome OS, you will find "Take Screenshot" option from the "More tools" drop-down in Chrome menu.
After pressing the combination, the screen will flash white briefly and you will get a notification. Click on that notification and it will open Chrome OS file manager. All screenshots are stored at Downloads folder.
